The former Glasgow Rangers boss has endured a terrible start to his return to management in Mexico with an painful hashtag already beginning to trend.
Things have gone from bad to worse for ex-Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha, who was sacked by the Ibrox club in October after just 229 days in charge.
Having taken over Mexican side Cruz Azul ahead of the Liga MX season, just two games into his reign, some fans are already calling for his dismissal.
Caixinha’s new side started off with a mediocre goalless draw against Xolos de Tijuana, which did not rest well with fans, only to follow it up with a loss in the Mexican Cup against second tier side Alebrijes de Oaxaca.
Rangers fans may know how the Cruz Azul fans are feeling having endured a tough time under their former gaffer.
The feeling of discontent among supporters after just two games is as bad as is could be, with the hashtag #FueraCaixinha (translating to ‘CaixinhaOut’) beginning to trend amongst the Cruz Azul faithful.
Defiant as always, just as he was as Ibrox boss, Rangers’ shortest serving manager ever asserts that he does not feel any pressure despite his side’s Mexican Cup defeat.
“We actually played better than we did in my first match,” Caixinha claimed, according to the Scottish Sun. “We were aggressive and played some great football.
“There is no pressure because I know the goals will come very soon. I regret the result, but we are proud of the commitment and passion the players put into the tie. I have total confidence in my strikers too. We will get it right soon.”
He also felt that way at Rangers, yet things did not go according to plan and one wonders if he could soon be looking for his third new job in quick succession.
