The former Sheffield United youngster is enjoying his first full season of football with Everton having made 37 appearances so far.

Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin leads the way in terms of goals directly contributed to in all competitions for the Toffees, along with England and Manchester United record goal scorer Wayne Rooney.
Both forwards have had a hand in exactly 14 goals, with Calvert-Lewin bagging eight and assisting six, whilst Rooney has scored 11 and assisted three.
With the England veteran often on penalty duties, Calvert-Lewin’s achievement seems all the more impressive. Aged 21, the striker could not have thought a club the size of Everton would be so reliant on his contribution. Only until recently, when Cenk Tosun has started to share the weight of the scoring, has the pressure eased on the likes of Calvert-Lewin, who played a lot of football for a young striker in the earlier stages of the season.
Having successfully dragged themselves out of the relegation battle since the appointment of Sam Allardyce, the latter stages of the season could perhaps be used as a trial period to see if Calvert-Lewin and Tosun could be partnered together in a forward two.

The club is still extremely short when it comes to forward options, however, with Tosun’s clear eye for goal and Calvert-Lewin’s assisting ability, the duo could be quite a threat going forward into next season and beyond.
When considering this statistic as well, it should be remembered that the youngster has often been deployed on the left, rather than in his preferred centre-forward role. Calvert-Lewin’s eight goals and six assists are not too dissimilar to compatriot and Three Lions star Marcus Rashford, who has bagged 12 goals and recorded six assists this term.
Considering that Rashford plays regularly for one of the most dominant teams in Europe and is a potential starting option for Gareth Southgate at the World Cup this summer, Calvert-Lewin can take great confidence going into the future as he eyes a similar rise to stardom as the Manchester United sensation.
