Last night, Celtic played out another home draw, this time against league strugglers Dundee.

Despite seemingly being nailed on to win a seventh league title in a row this season, the 2017/18 campaign has not been nearly as dominant as last term, with the team having drawn six of their 16 home fixtures so far.
Celtic Park has always been a fortress, but that status was taken to a new level under Brendan Rodgers last season as the Hoops went to season unbeaten domestically, drawing only two of their 17 home fixtures.
With essentially the same starting XI available, what exactly has gone wrong this season?
The Bhoys’ defence has been a huge taking point from start to finish this season with a each of the centre-back options at the club experiencing their own periods of poor form. On top of this, at the other end of the pitch, there has also been a real lack of continuity in terms of who is picked, partly due to fluctuating form but also partly due to injuries.

Regardless, a team as dominant as Celtic, with the financial strength they possess over the rest of the Scottish league, the club should most definitely not be drawing so many games at home, and must be more ruthless in terms of seeing out games.
Following the draw against Dundee last night, many Celtic fans too to Twitter to debate what has been the root cause of this lapse in performance level. Some fans cited the constant squad rotation as the downfall of the team, whilst others singled out the injuries to certain players such as Patrick Roberts as the reason the team has been unable to spark 0-0 affairs into home victories.
Here is a round up of the reaction…
