Tonight’s Celtic game against Dundee has been postponed due to bad weather, denying the Hoops the chance to re-establish their nine-point lead at the top.

It was recently confirmed that Celtic’s Scottish Premiership match against Dundee tonight will be postponed until further notice due to severe weather.
After periods of heavy snowfall around Scotland, the pitch was deemed unplayable, much to the disappointment of Celtic and their fans as they hoped to re-establish their nine-point lead over arch rivals Rangers with a win over the Dee.
Last night, Rangers closed the gap once again to six points, as Graeme Murty’s men recorded a dominant 4-1 win over St Johnstone away.
The Gers have been doing well to pile the pressure on Celtic, by closing the gap each time and forcing the Hoops to respond with a victory of their own.

Each time, Brendan Rodgers’ men have instantly responded. However, with the match postponed tonight, Celtic will have to wait for their chance to re-extend the lead from six to nine.
This all takes place at an interesting time, as both clubs gear up to face each other for the first time in 2018.
The last outing at Celtic Park saw Rangers produce a magnificent display, with Craig Gordon playing an instrumental role in keeping the scoreline at 0-0 and earning a point for the home side.
Many pundits and fans have predicted Rangers to overturn their rivals at Ibrox on 11 March. However, to do so the Gers will have to produce a sublime defensive performance to keep Celtic at bay.

There is no doubt that Graeme Murty has done well to reduce the gap between the two sides, but that gulf still very much exists between the clubs, with the Celts having more than enough in their armoury to deal with any onslaught from any Scottish side.
Nevertheless, Rangers will enjoy this period having reduced the gap to six points, and hope that the mental aspect will begin to play on the Celtic squad’s mind as they itch to get back out on the pitch to regain their momentum.
