The Turkish champions have singled out Arsenal man Welbeck as a potential replacement for Cenk Tosun

Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck has emerged as Besiktas’s top target to replace the recently sold Cenk Tosun, according to Turkish media outlet Turkish Football.
Tosun, who had netted an impressive 14 goals in 24 appearances this season, recently secured a move to Everton in a deal worth £27million (BBC) leaving the Turkish champions in need of a forward.

Welbeck, 27, has struggled to nail down a starting spot in Wenger’s side since his arrival from Manchester United in 2014. The England international has only managed 22 goals in 90 appearances for the Gunners. However, Senol Gunes believes Welbeck to be a credible replacement for Tosun who can provide the missing goals.
It is believed that the Turkish club have sent representatives to London to open talks over potential signings, with Welbeck being the number one priority.

Despite not being a regular starter, Arsenal may look to retain Welbeck, especially with Alexis Sanchez’s move away from the Emirates appearing to be imminent and fellow forward Theo Walcott also heavily linked with a move away.
Besiktas are believed to be looking to land the forward ahead of their crunch clash against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, which Welbeck would be eligible to play in.
