Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Beram Kayal has had to make do with a bit part role this season but he could be great for Everton.

Brighton’s Israeli midfielder Beram Kayal has probably not featured as much as he would have hoped, having finally made it to the Premier League with the Seagulls in his fourth season at the club.
Kayal has made nearly a century of appearances for the south coast club. However, he has had to make do with only 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Interestingly, the 29-year-old has earned starts against Tottenham, Chelsea, Everton and, most recently against, Manchester United when he was part of the team on the end of a 2-0 defeat.
Despite his bit-part role in Chris Hughton’s squad this term, there is no doubting Kayal’s quality. Despite his relatively small frame, the Israeli’s drive and determination has seen him grow into a highly respected figure around the Amex, just he did at Celtic Park before that.

Kayal is a born winner with six league titles in his career to date and, with Brighton seemingly unwilling to offer him a larger role in the team, the four-time Scottish league champion could be a useful and affordable option for a team looking to strengthen their central midfield area.
There are a number of clubs in England’s top flight such as West Ham, Everton and Newcastle whose January intentions were to land a central midfielder and that trio of clubs will no doubt be revisiting the potential to bring in a new face in the centre of the park.
Should Everton be able to shift some of their central attacking players to free up space for a holding player, Goodison Park could present a great place for Kayal to play football.
At 29, and with only one year left on his contract after the end of the season, the Israeli will not be commanding much more and £2-3m and would be a great addition to most squads in search of midfield quality, with Everton potentially nabbing a bargain rather than another expensive risk.
