Since Mahrez’s return to form he has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea

The Algerian winger is back to his best according to the former Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur star and believes a move to the Emirates would be perfect for the 26-year-old.
Mahrez, a former PFA Player of the Year, experienced a severe dip in form following his club’s fairy tale title triumph in 2015/2016. However, under new manager Claude Puel he has gone through somewhat of a resurgence, once again attracting interest from some of the league’s finest.

Crooks suggested that the rediscovery of his form may well be the wide man playing for a move, in a bid to land a deal away from the King Power Stadium.
With 44 goals in 165 games for the Foxes so far, Mahrez has scored nine times this term as he looked to improve his highest tally of 18 which came in 2015/2016.
“He is a top-class player and should be playing with a top-four team,” Crooks wrote. “I think the Gunners might be Mahrez’s best option.”

With Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United reportedly imminent, there will be a space for Mahrez in Wenger’s squad, however, the potential swap for Henrikh Mkhitaryan might play a role in whether or not Arsenal move for the Algerian.
Neither would be a direct replacement for Sanchez, however, with the Gunners hoping to land Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang. Having already got Alexandre Lacazette on their roster, their centre-forward options could be looking healthy come the end of January.
Nevertheless, like Crooks stated, as a player of his quality Mahrez probably deserves to play for a top-four club and Arsenal could well be the best fit for the electric attacker.
