James Chester scored a consolation late on from another Robert Snodgrass assist, which was not nearly enough to rival the trio of goals scored by Ryan Manning, Jake Bidwell and Luke Freeman.
Yesterday, Villa’s midfield star Jack Grealish, a boyhood fan, tweeted the fans to express his disappointment at the loss but vowed the team would return guns blazing on Saturday and bounce back with a win, thanking the fans for their continued support.
The 22-year-old, who has been at Villa since the age of six, and recently returned after a short injury lay off following a knock that he picked up in the Birmingham derby game a few weeks back.
Since his return, the England under-21 international has looked on fire and has continued to inspire waves of attack through the centre of the pitch.
in typical fashion, following Grealish’s thanking of the fans for their support, the Villa supporters replied in numbers to Tweet their own messages of support to their midfield star and fellow fan.
The youngster will no doubt be praying that Villa can gain promotion, more so than most of the players in the squad due to his emotional attachment to the club, and the added incentive of more probable international recognition as a Premier League player compared to a Championship one.
