Arsenal have made Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang their number one target to replace unsettled forward Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal have made Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang their top priority as a replacement for contract rebel Alexis Sanchez according to Sky in Italy.
Sanchez, who has been linked with a move away from the Emirates for quite some time now, is being touted again by Manchester City who are looking to bring in a replacement for the injured Gabriel Jesus.
Jesus suffered a nasty knee injury in City’s 0-0 draw with Palace last month and Pep Guardiola confirmed yesterday that the Brazilian could face up to two months on the side lines.

City, who were heavily linked with landing the £60million signature of Sanchez in the summer, were unable to break down a stubborn Arsenal board and had their bids rejected. However they now hold more hope due to the fact there are only six months remaining on the Chilean’s current Arsenal deal.
With Sanchez looking more and more likely to leave North London, it is only natural that Wenger looks elsewhere for a replacement and who better than the prolific Aubameyang.

The Gabon international has found the net 13 times in 15 starts this season. His goal-scoring record for Dortmund has been simply impeccable since he joined the German giants, leading to him being linked with a big money move to Real Madrid.
As it stands, those rumours have somewhat died down and now may mark the perfect moment for Arsenal to land a more than suitable replacement for Sanchez, who looks certain to finally be on his way out.
