Rangers captain Lee Wallace has missed much of the season through injury, but has been particularly impressed by a few of his teammates from the sidelines.

Rangers left-back Lee Wallace has praised the likes of Declan John, Jamie Murphy, James Tavernier and Daniel Candeias for the work they continue to put in for the club down the left and right flanks.
Since January, the partnerships between John and Murphy and Tavernier and Candeias have been developing nicely, and each game, the pairings have looked a huge threat, which has contributed to the Rangers captain struggling to get back into the side.
In total, the quartet have contributed 15 goals and 21 assists in the league this season with the left-sided duo providing five goals and six assists, whilst the right have been on hand to provide 10 goals and 15 assists, a stunning contribution from the wide areas.

Speaking to Rangers TV, Wallace was full of praise for his in form teammates: “Tav and Daniel’s combinations down the side, I think they’ve obviously been a huge asset to the team,” the Gers club captain said.
“Of course we’ve seen that lately with Declan and Jamie Murphy, they’ve got a good balance in their game, they’ve got good variation in how they can combine.
“That’s obviously going to be a strong asset to the team.”
As the team’s captain, and having stuck with the club through the toughest period in its history, Wallace must be itching to get back out on to the pitch and experience the resurgence that the side is currently experiencing under Murty.
That being said, the 30-year-old will continue to find it extremely difficult to get back in Murty’s starting XI, with the likes of John and Andy Halliday both having performed to a high standard in the left-back position.
