Rangers have already made six summer signings under Steven Gerrard.

The Scotsman have reported on Wednesday that Hearts have pulled the plug on landing Genoa winger David Milinkovic on a permanent basis – and Steven Gerrard should capitalise by bringing him to Rangers.
Milinkovic, 24, joined Scottish Premiership side Hearts on loan at the start of the campaign until the end of the season and impressed under Craig Levein – which lead to the Jam Tarts looking into a permanent move.

However, the report claims that the fleet-footed winger will not be moving to Tynecastle on a permanent basis from Serie A side Genoa due to his wage demands. They had previously agreed a fee with Genoa.

The winger is said to have interest from England, France and Italy, after scoring six goals and creating another five in 22 Scottish Premiership appearances.
The highlight of his loan spell will have been his stunning performance against Rangers’ Old Firm rivals Celtic, where he scored twice and created another in the 4-0 win at Tynecastle – where Harry Cochrane and Kyle Lafferty also netted.
Rangers could do with another option out wide. Yes, this summer, they have signed Scott Arfield and Ovie Ejaria, but both players are better used in the middle of the park.

That leaves Gerrard with just Jamie Murphy and Daniel Candeias as options on the flanks, with Joe Dodoo and Michael O’Halloran leaving the club.
Adding a player such as Milinkovic who has proven he can thrive in Scottish football would be a huge boost to the Gers, and are much more likely to complete a move as they boast better finances than Hearts.
Signing Milinkovic, at Hearts’ expense, would give Gerrard another dimension in attack.
