Daniel James’ switch to Old Trafford should help Tottenham with their pursuit of Ryan Sessegnon.

Tottenham Hotspur target Ryan Sessegnon is keen on a move to the club, The Guardian report.
It is claimed Tottenham want to get a deal done by time players report for pre-season training on July 8.
For a while, Tottenham’s biggest rivals for Sessegnon’s signature have been Manchester United.
SkySports even reported in mid-May that United had made contact with Fulham over a potential move.
But the Red Devils’ £18 million deal to sign Swansea City’s Daniel James should rule United out of the Sessegnon race.

Sessegnon’s versatility works in his favour, but there is no longer a pressing need for the Red Devils to sign him.
James will provide width for United on the left wing, while Luke Shaw is already a regular at left-back.
Signing Sessegnon would previously have made sense for United prior to the James deal, allowing him to play on the wing, and then fill in for Shaw when required.
Sessegnon is claimed by The Guardian to be keen on a Spurs move.
Tottenham and Fulham are haggling over price. It’s harder for Fulham to drive it up if there’s no competition from United any longer.
