Rivaldo has told Raphinha ‘good luck beast’ after he posted a message on Instagram of his ‘first training’ session at Barcelona following his Leeds United exit.
It’s going to take a while for the Leeds fans to digest, but that’s two of their star men out of their doors in no time.
Whilst Leeds suffered a pre-season defeat against Aston Villa in Australia on Sunday morning, their one-time star boy, Kalvin Phillips, is getting to know his new surroundings in Manchester after he posted images on Twitter of him in training this week.
And Raphinha has now uploaded his first post and images from Barcelona training, with Brazil legend Rivaldo sending him the following message in the comments section.
‘Good luck beast,” said Rivaldo. “God bless you.”

Whilst many get their calculators out to try and work out just how Barcelona are concluding such deals this summer, the bigger question should be how will Raphinha fair in Spain?
The all-action trickster deserves that step up in his career, but can he join the legendary R’s that have played for Barcelona and become a legend at the club?
From Rivaldo to Ronaldinho, it’s going to take something special for him to reach those heights, but Barcelona’s main aim is to win back the La Liga title and become a powerhouse in Europe again.
Raphinha has all the magic at his feet, the goalscoring touch, drive, hunger without the ball and composure in front of goal to hurt his opponents.
The big difference now is that he is being asked to deliver the goods in a pressure cooker like no other and one that even just winning isn’t accepted.
Either way, those at the Nou Camp are getting the money from somewhere, as Raphinha will be feeding the likes of Robert Lewandowski next season.
