Sheffield United striker Oliver McBurnie has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur signing Joe Rodon.
As announced on Tottenham’s official Twitter page this evening, the North London club have signed Rodon from Championship outfit Swansea City.
According to WalesOnline, Spurs have paid the Swans £11 million as transfer fee upfront, with £4 million to come in add-ons.
McBurnie played with Rodon at Swansea, and the Scotland international striker, who is now on the books of Premier League club United, has described him as a “superstar” on Twitter.
Will Joe Rodon make Tottenham Hotspur better?
Rodon may be 22 years of age, but the Wales international has got quite a bit of first-team experience.
According to WhoScored, the Wales international centre-back played four times in the Championship for the Swans this season, while in 2019-20 he played 21 times in the league and in 2018-19 he featured in 27 league games.
It could take some time for Rodon to get used to the way head coach Jose Mourinho does things at Tottenham, but he could turn out to be a very good signing for Spurs in the long run.
