Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers can win the Scottish Premiership title this season, says Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Richie Foran.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton celebrates winning the Scottish Championship
Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Richie Foran has been quoted as saying by Herald Scotland that Rangers can win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
Rangers are playing in the Scottish top flight this season after winning automatic promotion from the Scottish Championship at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
The Gers are fifth in the league table at the moment with 12 points from eight matches.
Mark Warburton’s side are seven points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.
Rangers will be looking to close the gap on Friday evening when they take on Inverness away from home at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in the league.

Ahead of the match, Inverness manager Foran has said that it is too early to write off Rangers’ chances of winning the Scottish Premiership title this season.
“Rangers could win the league this year, it’s as simple as that,” Herald Scotland quotes Foran as saying. “They could win it.
“I watched them against Aberdeen and in the first half I thought they were excellent, although they didn’t create a lot of opportunities on goal.
“But their play was of a top, top standard and Rangers could still go and win the league. It’s too early to say they won’t.
“A lot of their players won’t have played in the Premiership before so they are still adapting. Don’t write Rangers off just yet.”

Rangers’ performances and results so far this season have not been great, and Celtic are deservedly the favourites.
Things could change in the coming weeks and months, but it is hard to see any team other than Brendan Rodgers’s side clinching the league title this campaign.
