Tottenham have reportedly banned supporters from their new stadium for persistent standing.

Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to ban ‘several’ fans from their new stadium for standing has not gone down well.
Rival supporters have lambasted the club’s decision to ban fans after just three home matches.
BBC Sport reported that Tottenham have confirmed a number of supporters have been banned. The length of the sanctions are not known.
Tottenham’s stadium has earned rave reviews since it opened, from fans and media alike.
The team have also won all three home matches so far without conceding a goal.
Tottenham are obviously determined for all fans to be able to see clearly, and feel supporters standing is a problem.

The club wrote in an e-mail to supporters reported by BBC Sport: “Persistently standing for the whole match or for long periods, along with failing to heed requests from the stewards and fellow fans to be seated, is not acceptable behaviour, notwithstanding it’s against ground regulations.”
It certainly seems heavy handed to ban fans at this early stage.
Rival supporters have criticised the decision strongly and believe it to be a poor indictment of modern football.
