Tottenham fans left frustrated, but rival supporters question validity of complaints.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has called the club by insisting he has nothing to do with transfers.
A clearly frustrated Pochettino told BBC Sport his job title should be changed from manager back to head coach.
This led to Tottenham fans showing their support for Pochettino by urging #BackPoch on social media.
But this also transitioned into anger being vented at chairman Daniel Levy, with #LevyOut tweets being posted by supporters.
And this has seen rival fans jump in to criticise the validity of such complaints.
Spurs have signed Tanguy Ndombele this transfer window for a club record fee of £65 million.
A deal has also been struck for Jack Clarke, who has been loaned back to Leeds.
Levy remarkably managed to get a fee for Vincent Janssen too.
The complaints aren’t without cause. Tottenham did not sign a player last summer, and the Ndombele deal was supposed to be the trigger for more signings – it hasn’t happened.
But the transfer window is not over yet, and Tottenham are in a better position than most clubs.
