England are planning to make changes to the Three Lions side which lost to Czech Republic.

It was reported last night by Sky Sports that Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings is set to replace Michael Keane against Bulgaria.

Keane’s potential axe should come as no surprise after his poor performance on Friday night.

Mings has been excellent this season for Aston Villa since clinching his permanent move to the club from Bournemouth.

He has played in all eight of Villa’s Premier League games to start the season.

He starred for the club in the Championship last season to help them win promotion, which led to Villa agreeing to pay £26.5 million for him this summer.

The centre-back’s England call could help Bournemouth get towards the total fee.

From Villa’s perspective it may end up looking like a bargain if Mings can establish himself as an international regular.

Despite his form and England’s need for change, news of his potential start prompted a split reaction.

It’s up to Mings to win them over…
