Harry Kane’s knack for scoring important derby goals continued at the weekend as he netted a dramatic brace against West Ham.
Both goals came within the final five minutes to turn the game around, with a 2-1 loss almost instantly turned into a 3-2 win and breaking Hammers’ hearts in the process.
Kane had scored a fortnight earlier from the penalty spot against Arsenal, his comeback match after several weeks out with an ankle injury.
After the win over West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino lauded Kane.

Speaking to SkySports, Pochettino described Kane as among the very best in the world.
He said: “He’s back! He’s one of the best strikers in the world. When you play without your main striker for 10 or 11 games it’s tough for any team. He’s a player who is very important for us.”
The statement drew plenty of criticism from fans of rival clubs on social media, who clearly do not rate Kane as being in the same company as the likes of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, the world’s top strikers.

Kane failed to impress for England at Euro 2016, with his disastrous tournament seeing him become a target for criticism for disgruntled Three Lions fans.
Pochettino’s comments certainly don’t have everybody agreeing, but there is no mistaking his importance to this Tottenham side.
Kane is the team’s talisman, who could lead their line for the best part of the next decade or more.
There may not be another striker in the world Tottenham fans would swap him for, such is the high regard he is held in by the supporters.
