David Martindale has told The Scottish Sun that he would love Celtic to appoint Roy Keane as their next manager.
Celtic are on the hunt for a new permanent manager following the departure of Neil Lennon in February. John Kennedy is in charge of the Glasgow giants until the end of the season.
Former Manchester United and Celtic midfielder Keane wants to become the new manager of the Hoops, according to a report in The Sun last month.
The Scottish Sun has since reported that former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is in line to take charge of the Hoops.
Martindale, manager of Celtic’s Scottish Premiership rivals Livingston, has said that he would love Sky Sports pundit Keane to get the Hoops’ job.
The Livingston boss told The Scottish Sun: “I would love to have Keane as the Celtic manager, what an argument that would be! That would be box office stuff.”

Big decision ahead
Celtic need to be careful regarding who they appoint as their new manager. Rangers are a club on the up, and the Hoops have to close the gap between themselves and the Gers, who have already won the Scottish Premiership title this season and reached the Europa League Round of 16.
The Hoops need to take their time and carefully analyse all the candidates before making a decision.
