According to Sky Sports, Ryan Giggs has optimistically thrown his hat in the ring for the vacant Everton job.
The Toffees sacked Ronald Koeman yesterday after a poor start to the season left them 18th in the Premier League table.
With the likes of former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel being linked to the job by The Mirror, Giggs would be a very risky appointment by comparison, having not yet had a full-time managerial position.

That is, of course, how he got his breakthrough at Old Trafford as part of the Class of ’92.
Koeman got a lot of things wrong at Everton but his lasting legacy could be his introduction of several young stars.
The Dutchman gave local lad Tom Davies a prominent first-team role and has also entrusted the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Mason Holgate, Jonjo Kenny and Nikola Vlasic with senior roles.
These talented kids could get left by the wayside when a new manager comes in and shapes his own squad.
Not with Giggs, though. He knows better than most the importance of giving youth an opportunity. Their futures would be safe in his hands.
