Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier featured for England against Lithuania in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Sunday evening.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand made a prediction back in the summer of 2015. Ferdinand, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport, claimed on social networking site Twitter that John Stones, Michael Keane and Eric Dier would become future England internationals.
Manchester City’s Stones, Burnley’s Keane and Tottenham’s Dier all featured in England’s 2-0 victory over Lithuania in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group F game at the Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday evening.
Ferdinand was following the match, and after full time, the former West Ham United and Leeds United centre-back reminded everyone of his prediction back in 2015.
Ferdinand’s post on Twitter shows just good Dier is. The 23-year-old, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, is quite under-appreciated and often goes under the radar, but he has undeniable quality.
The former Sporting Lisbon man has featured in 26 Premier League matches for Spurs so far this season, creating eight chances in the process. While the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris often get the headlines for Tottenham, Dier’s contribution to the team cannot be undermined.
