Liverpool threw away a three goal lead against Sevilla in Champions League action last night.

Liverpool were once again abject at the back, as they let a three goal lead slip in Sevilla.
And Ferdinand now feels that Jurgen Klopp should be picking the youngsters, as they simply cannot be any worse than the senior defenders in their squad.
Ferdinand said: “They’ve got Gomez there. Alexander-Arnold, put him in too. They’re not going to do any worse than what they have at the moment.”

Gomez and Alexander-Arnold have both been given chances by Klopp, but neither have become confirmed starters for Liverpool yet.
Gomez was actually picked to start at Sevilla, but he was unable to stop his side slipping up in Spain.
The Reds had raced into a 3-0 lead at half-time, but Sevilla pulled one back early on in the second period and never looked back after.

Liverpool ended up conceding in the last minute to slip to a draw, which leaves their hopes of qualifying from their Champions League group still in doubt.
Liverpool take on Spartak Moscow in their final group stage match knowing that they must avoid defeat to progress.
