Rio Ferdinand has said on BT Sport 1 (2:29pm, March 12, 2022) that Liverpool winger Luis Diaz was “magnificent” against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The former Manchester United defender was following the Premier League game between Brighton and Liverpool for BT Sports.

Liverpool won the match 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Colombia international winger Diaz started the match and scored in the 19th minute.

Ferdinand said: “Diaz comes in, magnificent performance.”

Luis Diaz was Liverpool’s star player v Brighton

In our view, Diaz was the best player on the pitch and helped Liverpool to a comfortable win against Brighton.

The 25-year-old Colombia international striker scored a superb goal in which he showed a brave goal.

Diaz worked hard without the ball, and when he was in possession, he was a problem for the Brighton defence.

The winger played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 75.8%, won one header, took 56 touches, attempted one dribble, and made two tackles and one interception.

Liverpool did not have to work extra-hard to get the win against Brighton.

The Reds did just enough.

And now Liverpool fans will wait to see if Manchester City can respond with a win of their own.
