Everton already have plenty of good midfielders, but Sander Berge’s display caught Rio Ferdinand’s eye yesterday.

Ferdinand watched Berge play against Liverpool for Genk last night, and was impressed by the midfielder’s display.
Gary Lineker then asked which player he would take if he was in charge of a club like Everton or Leicester City.
And Ferdinand responded: “I like Berge, the young midfielder. I think he’s 21, can take the ball.”
Berge has actually been linked with a move to the Premier League before, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if he had come up on Everton’s radar.
Berge rejected a £22.5 million to Sheffield United in the summer, according to HLN.
If he was to move to Everton he would have big competition for a midfield place in Marco Silva’s side.

Everton already have the likes of Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph, Morgan Schneiderlin and Tom Davies battling for a spot in their midfield.
Berge’s Genk side were beaten 4-1 by Liverpool last night, but his performance impressed and it seems only a matter of time before he does move on from the Belgian side.
