Tottenham Hotspur managed to come back from 3-0 down on aggregate against Ajax in the Champions League.

Both Kieran Trippier and Jan Vertonghen attempted to mark Matthijs De Ligt from corners in the first-half, and Spurs’ ploy was unsuccessful.
De Ligt scored the opening goal of the game in Holland, as he powered past Trippier and Vertonghen was then blocked off.
And Ferdinand was shocked by the way that Pochettino had set Tottenham up from dead ball situations.
“The two of them are marking De Ligt there – Trippier, who’s never going to beat him in the air, and Vertonghen. I’ve never seen two men marking one before. I don’t understand that,” the former Manchester United defender said.
De Ligt’s early goal was followed by a brilliant strike from Hakim Ziyech in the first half and at that stage it looked like Tottenham would be heading out.

However, Spurs put in a wonderful performance in the second half to stage one of the all time great Champions League comebacks.
Lucas Moura scored a hat-trick to send Tottenham to the final in Madrid, as they made it through on away goals.
Spurs will now meet Liverpool on June 1st, as they attempt to win the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
