Rio Ferdinand has told BT Sport, during their live Champions League coverage, that nobody could work out which foot is Diogo Jota’s strong one.
Jota showed his ability with both his left and right foot as he scored a hat-trick during Liverpool’s 5-0 win over Atalanta.
The Portuguese forward was a huge threat, as he kept Atalanta’s defenders guessing over which way he would go.
Jota scored a chip with his left-foot, drilled the ball home with his right-foot, and then used both during the process of scoring his final goal of the evening.
His ability to shoot off either foot is highly impressive, and Ferdinand says that he is not even sure which one is the Liverpool’s player’s strong foot, such is his ability off either side.
“When he’s through here it’s a delightful bit of skill,” the pundit said.
“We were trying to work out what foot is he. That’s happening now, he’s only been there a couple of months.
“Once he’s been there even longer [he’s going to be even better]. He’s probably had as many opportunities already at Liverpool than he had at Wolves last season.”

Jota’s start to life at Liverpool has indeed been hugely impressive.
The former Wolves man has scored seven goals in his first 10 appearances for the club, and now is pushing hard for a starting place in Jurgen Klopp’s line-up.
