Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been heaping praise upon West Ham United manager David Moyes.
The Hammers have gotten off to a brilliant start once again under Moyes, and while Michail Antonio has been receiving the lion’s share of the praise, Ferdinand reserved a special mention for the former Manchester United boss.

Ferdinand was speaking about West Ham’s transfer business and their start to the season.
“People were umming and ahhing about whether or not he’s the right man to come in, but West Ham have spent and wasted a lot of money in the past couple of years, and since David Moyes has come in he’s tightened the ship up, he’s got exactly who he wants to bring in and got some good people under the radar who have affected this squad. He’s been absolutely magnificent. I still speak to a few players that play there, and it’s nothing but positive energy,” Ferdinand said.
Manager of the Month
The Premier League Manager of the Month award is yet to be awarded for August, but Moyes is surely a front runner.
Yes, Nuno Espirito Santo’s Tottenham are top of the league, but there hasn’t been a team as impressive as West Ham.
The London club battered Leicester 4-1, while they also put four past Newcastle United.
The Hammers have been exceptional so far this season, and after adding the likes of Kurt Zouma, Alex Kral and Nikola Vlasic, they could be serious contenders this season.
