One of the best players at Arsenal is Martin Odegaard, and Rio Ferdinand has noticed a change in the playmaker.
The former Manchester United defender has said on his YouTube channel that since being made the Arsenal captain, Norway international playmaker Martin Odegaard has got “bigger”.
Ferdinand thinks that being made the leader of the team has made Arsenal star Odegaard a better player under pressure.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta made Odegaard the club captain at the start of last season.
Rio Ferdinand on Arsenal star Martin Odegaard
Ferdinand said about Odegaard, as transcribed by TBR: “I love him. I like the way he plays.
“He’s an artist the way he plays off the left foot as well.
“Left footers always just look a bit different.

“There’s pressure in that as well, being the captain.
“That’s why I questioned Odegaard.
“Has he got the personality? Will he be able to deal with all of the pressure that comes with being the captain of a big club like Arsenal?
“So young as well.
“But you have to say, since the armband went on him, I think he’s got bigger.”
Martin Odegaard one of the best players in Premier League
In my view, Martin Odegaard is one of the best players in the Premier League and is a big figure at Arsenal.
Odegaard is not very vocal on the pitch, but he leads by example.
The playmaker lets his football do the talking.
The former Real Madrid player has made 94 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Odegaard has scored 26 goals and given 14 assists in those games.
Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League as well as make an impact in the UEFA Champions League.
I believe that Odegaard will be a massive player for the Gunners in both competitions.
