Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been discussing Anthony Martial after it was reported that he wants to leave Manchester United.
As a United legend, Ferdinand has a real vested interest in Martial and his future, and he says that Newcastle should be doing everything they can to bring the Frenchman to St James’ Park.
The striker is open to new opportunities, and the pundit believes that the richest club in the world should be in for him.

“It’s looking likely that maybe he (Lingard) will go to Newcastle. Martial the rumours are that he doesn’t want to stay in the Premier League, Sevilla were mentioned, so were Juventus, but if I was Newcastle I would be going all-out to get Martial in on loan,” Ferdinand said.

Ferdinand is absolutely right, Newcastle should be trying their best to get Martial to the club.
The Frenchman is exactly what the Magpies need. He’s a talented player who’s at a loose end, and he’s proven at Premier League level.
Newcastle have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, but it seems as though no real progress has been made on that front as of yet.
However, as we enter the final weeks of the transfer window, Newcastle could step up their interest in the former Monaco man.
