Rio Ferdinand has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Leeds United signing Rodrigo.
Leeds have announced the signing of Rodrigo from Valencia this morning on their official website.
The Spain international, who can operate as a striker or as a winger, has joined the Whites for ‘a club record transfer fee’ and has signed a four-year contract with the West Yorkshire outfit.
As reported by The Sun, Leeds have paid Valencia £36 million in transfer fees for the 29-year-old.
This means that the former Benfica man has become the most expensive signing in Leeds’s history.
Leeds’s record signing until now was Ferdinand, with the club paying West Ham United £18 million for the former England international central defender back in 2000, as reported by The Sun.

Ferdinand has given his reaction on Twitter to Leeds breaking their transfer record, while Rodrigo has sent a message to the club’s fans on Instagram after making the move.
Leeds will play in the Premier League next season for the first time since 2004 after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
