Former Manchester United and England captain Rio Ferdinand has given his opinion on Ashley Williams’ potential move to Everton.
Williams continues to be strongly linked with leaving Swansea City for the Toffees, with The Mirror reporting there is potential progress on a deal.

Ferdinand, a close pal of Williams, believes Everton are pulling off a masterstroke if they can complete a deal.
Everton this morning sold John Stones to Manchester City, giving them extra funds to put towards Williams’ transfer.
Williams impressed for Wales at Euro 2016 and with several seasons Premier League experience behind him, should take no time at all to settle in at Everton.
In the short term he could even outshine City’s John Stones, who had a disappointing campaign for Everton last time out.
He is just the type of character Everton need to fill a void in their backline, and should be able to jump straight into their starting XI this weekend for their opening fixture against Tottenham if he is signed in time.
