Chelsea won 2-1 against Lille, as Frank Lampard’s side picked up their first points in this season’s Champions League.

Tomori continued his impressive run of form in Chelsea’s first-team with another excellent display at the heart of Frank Lampard’s defence.
Chelsea switched to a formation which incorporated three central defenders last night, which allowed Tomori more freedom to get forward.
And the young defender took advantage of his chance to break into the opposition half, as he set up Tammy Abraham for the first goal of the night.
Chelsea went on to win 2-1, as Frank Lampard’s side picked up an important three points in their Champions League group.
And Ferdinand was so impressive with the defensive work of Tomori.
“A huge talent. Everything he did defensively today was perfect,” Ferdinand said.

“His tenacity, anticipation and willingness to step out and take the ball [was impressive]. That’s what you want to see from young players.”
Lampard has already suggested that Tomori has become one of Chelsea’s top two centre-backs in his eyes now, through his performances since breaking into their first-team.
The youngster looks set to continue in Chelsea’s starting line-up at the weekend, when they take on Southampton in the Premier League.
