Arsenal have rotated their goalkeepers in the Champions League this season.
Writing in the London Evening Standard, Rio Ferdinand has criticised Arsenal’s rotation policy, saying the method makes no sense for them.
The Gunners have continually changed their squad this season, going with different teams in the Premier League and Champions League.
The biggest change they have made is in the goalkeeper department, with number one Petr Cech replaced by David Ospina for European fixtures.

It is a decision that has been questioned by both fans and pundits alike, especially after it nearly cost them their place in the knockout stages last year.
And Ferdinand has questioned it again, saying Cech should be number one regardless of anything else.
“I just don’t understand it,” he wrote in the London Evening Standard.
“Ospina is clearly a good keeper and one that manager Arsene Wenger rates highly but Petr Cech is the No.1 at the club and should have been playing in the group games.”
“There are many reasons why I don’t agree with this policy.”

It will be interesting to see if Arsene Wenger continues to rotate his goalkeepers in the latter stages of the Champions League.
They are likely to face a tough opponent in the knockout stages and it would be wise to bring back Petr Cech given his experience.
The decision that the Arsenal boss makes will go a long way to showing just how highly he rates David Ospina.
