West Ham United managed to hold a 0-0 draw against Arsenal last night.

Rio Ferdinand has told BT Sport, during their live coverage of West Ham United’s match against Arsenal, that he felt Mark Noble and Pablo Zabaleta were the two standout performers for David Moyes’ side.

Marko Arnautovic and Michail Antonio drew much of the praise following West Ham’s draw with Arsenal.

Arnautovic and Antonio worked tirelessly, as West Ham pressed from the front to unsettle Arsenal.

But it was the defensive work of Noble and Zabaleta, which really caught Ferdinand’s eye.

The ex-England international said: “I think West Ham soaked up all the pressure. They had some standout performers – Mark Noble led from the front and Zabaleta.”

West Ham have now kept clean sheets against Chelsea and Arsenal in their last two games, and taken four points during that time.

It could even have been better for the Hammers, as Javier Hernandez hit the crossbar with a great chance in the last minute against the Gunners.

The signs are still positive for David Moyes’ side, as they look to move away from trouble, though.

West Ham are currently in the relegation zone, but they are just one point away from safety now.

West Ham are next in action at the weekend, when they take on struggling Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
