Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Sissoko came in for criticism from Rio Ferdinand for his Bayer Leverkusen display.
Moussa Sissoko’s first half display for Tottenham Hotspur against Bayer Leverkusen was ridiculed by BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand.
With the scoreline at 0-0, and Tottenham as a whole looking disjointed, Frenchman Sissoko was among those who struggled.

Ferdinand accused the team of not being at the races, and in truth they were fortunate to go in at the break with the score level.
He said: “They look like a bunch of strangers out there, disjointed. Janssen coming on has given them a focal point but up till then they’d been a real disappointment.
“Sissoko, he’s been awful, for a £30 million player, I don’t think hes passed to a white shirt all evening. It’s just basic mistakes, they are not on it.”

The statistics backed up Ferdinand’s comments; after 45 minutes Sissoko had completed a lowly 61 per cent of his passes; with only Ben Davies worse at that point – 58 per cent.
Sissoko joined Spurs so he could play Champions League football, moving from Championship side Newcastle United.
Last night against a tough German side he will have realised, if he hadn’t already, that the big step in class requires him to raise his game accordingly.
You can only imagine what Newcastle United fans watching his display will have thought.
