West Ham United midfielder Dimitri Payet was in brilliant form once again for France yesterday.

West Ham United midfielder Dimitri Payet was the talk of Twitter last night, after his performance for France.
Payet was the star of the show once against as Les Blues ran out 2-0 winners over Albania.
The Hammers playmaker had endured a frustrating evening, but his class shone through in the end, when he curled home his country’s second goal of the evening.

Albania had frustrated France for much of the match, but a late goal from Antoine Greizmann forced the underdogs to come forward.
And Payet made Albania pay in the last minute, as they chased an equaliser, by exploiting the gaps in their defence to curl home a wonderful finish to seal the three points.
The strike was Payet’s second goal of the tournament, following on from his display in the opening fixture at Euro 2016 – where he curled in a last minute winner against Romania.

Payet’s reputation is continuing to grow, and the likes of Luis Garcia, Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand were just some of the pundits and players purring over the 29-year-old’s display.
