‘Doing bits now’: Rio Ferdinand gives verdict on £20m Liverpool player

Rio Ferdinand has said on his Youtube channel that he has been impressed by Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara’s current form.

The former Manchester United defender has said that Thiago has had a good week for Liverpool.

Thiago scored a superb goal against FC Porto at Anfield in the Champions League last week.

Then at the weekend, the Spain international midfielder scored in Liverpool’s win against Southampton at Anfield in the Premier League.

Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel: “Thiago is doing bits now as well. Thiago has had a good week.”

Thiago Alcantara starting to gel at Liverpool

We all know just how good Thiago is.

After all, the 30-year-old is a former Barcelona and Bayern Munich player.

Thiago cost Liverpool just £20 million in the summer of 2020 (BBC Sport).

The midfielder has not been exactly ‘great’ for Liverpool, but we cannot ignore his injury problems.

Now that Thiago is fit and getting a run of games, we can see just good he is and can be.

For Liverpool to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season, in our opinion, Thiago will be a big player.

The Liverpool no. 6 has made four starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League, and one start and two substitute appearances in the Champions League so far this season.
