Rio Ferdinand said on BT Sport 1 (10pm, January 25, 2021) how Liverpool will feel heading into the match against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this week.
Liverpool will take Tottenham away from home in North London in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are in poor form at the moment and lost against Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Spurs won last night, getting the better of Wycombe Wanderers 4-1 away from home in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
It followed a 3-1 victory over Sheffield United away from home in the Premier League.
Former United defender Ferdinand believes that Liverpool will be apprehensive heading into the game against Spurs.
Ferdinand said on BT Sport 1 (10pm, January 25, 2021): “Spurs will be confident going into it. Liverpool, I feel, maybe will be a little bit apprehensive.”
Big game on Thursday
Liverpool are not at their best at the moment, but the defending Premier League champions remain a very strong side.
Tottenham cannot be complacent at all, as an early goal for the Reds could make it very difficult for them.
It should be a very interesting and fascinating game of football, and there should be a few goals in it.
