Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez has made an excellent start to life since joining from Ajax.

Sanchez has largely impressed Spurs fans since arriving from Ajax for a £40 million fee, as valued by the London Evening Standard.
However, Ferdinand believes that the 21-year-old still has work to do before he becomes the complete defender.
“Defensively I think he’s very talented. On the ball he’s got a lot to do,” Ferdinand said. “I think that’s a weakness in his game. They’ll be working with him on that. So far he’s done what has been asked of him.”

If Sanchez does have a weakness in possession it certainly wasn’t exposed last night, as Spurs picked up a 3-1 victory over Real Madrid.
Sanchez was in brilliant form as he helped to limit the chances that Cristiano Ronaldo, Isco and Karim Benzema could create at Wembley.

Sanchez had actually missed Tottenham’s last two matches, but his return to first-team action proves how important he has become for the Lilywhites already.
With Toby Alderweireld picking up an injury, Sanchez looks almost certain to keep his place in Tottenham’s line-up over the coming weeks.
Spurs are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
