Harry Kane scored a hat-trick for Tottenham Hotspur as they got past Fulham in the FA Cup.
Rio Ferdinand has told the London Evening Standard that Harry Kane hitting form for Tottenham Hotspur can only be good news for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Kane netted a hat-trick for Spurs, as they cruised past Fulham in the FA Cup last weekend.
And Ferdinand believes that if Kane can continue his goalscoring form, he could be vital for Spurs during the run in.
“The good news for Spurs is that Harry Kane is full of self-belief with that fine hat-trick on Sunday,” the former Manchester United defender said.
“The timing of Kane getting back among the goals couldn’t be any better. This is the business end of the season and if he is hitting form now, it’s perfect.”
Prior to his hat-trick against Fulham, Kane actually hadn’t been particularly prolific in recent weeks.
The England international striker had scored just one goal in five appearances, prior to playing at Craven Cottage.
However, Kane looked in confident form as he helped Spurs dispatch with Fulham and progress to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Tottenham are currently in second place in the Premier League – 10 points behind league leaders, Chelsea.
Kane will next be in action on Thursday evening, when Mauricio Pochettino’s side take on Gent in the Europa League.
