Pundit Rio Ferdinand is being proved right over the verdict he delivered when Tottenham Hotspur first signed Heung-Min Son back in 2015.

Son has been a revelation for Tottenham of late and was the star of the show as Mauricio Pochettino’s side comfortably beat Huddersfield 2-0 last time out.
A goal in each half from the South Korean international was the minimum he deserved for a sparkling performance of hard work, determination, poise and no mean skill.
Son has been in and out of the Spurs side since signing for the North Londoners back in 2015.
The 25-year-old has rarely let the club down when called upon but was linked with a departure from the club after just one season in England due to a lack of game time.

Son himself admitted a chat with Pochettino changed his mind about leaving, as reported at the time by the likes of The Express.
Many pundits and supporters have been surprised by Son’s displays when he been given a chance.
But not Rio Ferdinand, whose sage prediction when Spurs signed Son for a bargain £22 million by today’s standards has been proved correct.
Manchester United legend Rio took to Twitter at the time and stuck his neck out as an ex-player new to the punditry game by delivering an emphatic verdict on Spurs’ signing of then little-known Son.

“Played against Son a couple of times,” Rio said on Twitter back in 2015.
“Got to see in the videos before we played them that he looked a really good player.
“Good recruitment.”
And the ex West Ham and England man appears to have got it spot on when many others were writing off the forward’s chances of making an impact in the English man.
