Watford fans do not seem too concerned about the prospect of losing Abdoulaye Doucoure to Everton.

The Daily Mail have suggested that Everton want to sign Doucoure, as they aim to strengthen in central midfield.

But Watford fans were far from impressed by the Frenchman’s performances last season.

And Hornets supporters have suggested that they would not be particularly disappointed if Doucoure did leave them for Everton this summer.

Everton have been tracking Doucoure for some time now, and were heavily linked with signing them last summer.

The powerful midfielder’s form over the 2019/20 campaign was certainly stronger than his performances last season, as Watford were relegated.

If he was to join Everton he could be an upgrade on Carlo Ancelotti’s current options in the position though.

Everton have struggled to win battles in the middle of the pitch this season, with most their players in the position coming in for fierce criticism, and it is no surprise to see Carlo Ancelotti prioritising signing a central midfielder this summer.
