Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the experienced Polish defender.
According to Polish website sport.pl, Tottenham Hotspur have made a move to sign AS Monaco defender Kamil Glik this summer, but Spurs do not need the 29-year-old and should instead be going all out for one of his teammates.
This is not the first time it has been suggested that Tottenham should be breaking the bank for Thomas Lemar and it will not be the last, because in short the 21-year-old is the perfect signing for Spurs this summer.

Like Glik, he currently plays for Monaco, but unlike the centre-back he would immediately and significantly improve Mauricio Pochettino’s squad ahead of a vital campaign.
Tottenham are already well stocked when it comes to defenders, with Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Kevin Wimmer and Cameron Carter-Vickers all available when necessary.
Furhter up the field, however, Tottenham do not have sufficient quality on the wing to challenge both domestically and in Europe, and Lemar’s arrival would solve that problem in a heartbeat.
The young Frenchman would not come cheap, and he may not come at all, yet for now he remains at Monaco and if Tottenham want to do some business with the Ligue 1 champions they should drop their interest in Glik and move quickly for his exciting teammate.
If Tottenham do not, eventually someone else will, and Spurs should not hold themselves back when the right additions could see them crowned champions in 2018.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side is that close to greatness. Glik is not going to tip the balance, but Lemar certainly could.
