Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham face their biggest test of the season so far as they face defending Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday evening.
The London outfit are looking to challenge the Reds at the top of the table this term, and this fixture will give us the biggest indication yet of whether or not Mourinho’s men are up to the task.
Tottenham, of course, failed to win against Crystal Palace on Sunday, so Mourinho has quite a lot to think about when it comes to team selection for this one.
With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Tottenham’s starting XI for this one.

Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, we expect Mourinho to go unchanged for this game against Liverpool.
Indeed, while this squad failed to overcome Crystal Palace, let’s not forget that this is the same XI that beat Manchester City 2-0, and Liverpool are likely to pose a very similar threat to City here.
Spurs know that they will be without the ball for large periods of the game, so pace and energy is the order of the day in this side, meaning that Moussa Sissoko and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are again the preferred midfield pairing, with Giovani Lo Celso only making the bench.
Steven Bergwijn and Tanguy Ndombele retain their spots in the team meaning that once again Lucas Moura and Dele Alli are on the bench, but the positive from that is that Spurs have a lot of strong options to come on.
Alli, Lo Celso, Matt Doherty and Lucas Moura are all likely to be great options for Mourinho to call upon in this game, and Tottenham’s ridiculously strong bench could be decisive in this fixture.
That’s before you even mention Gareth Bale, who could miss this one after Mourinho commented on an injury earlier this week.
