Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing Danny Murphy contradict himself while speaking on talkSPORT.
The ex-Liverpool midfielder spoke about how he now worries for the Magpies, as Fulham are flying and have the momentum behind them.
While there’s nothing to argue about with those comments in particular, some supporters dug up footage of Murphy speaking at the end of November on BBC’s Match of the Day.
Alongside Gary Lineker and Micah Richards, the 43-year-old said that he doesn’t know what more fans want from Steve Bruce, and felt he deserved huge credit.
Even in response to that video, you can see a bunch of angry supporters informing Murphy that they’re on a slippery slope and he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Football fans know best, and the anxious supporters from back in November are being proven right with 11 games of the season to go.
Newcastle have won just two of their last 16 Premier League games, whereas Fulham have three wins in six.

Things are looking really worrying for the Magpies, with their Premier League status now in real jeopardy.
Let’s see what the baffled Newcastle fans on Twitter have been saying about Murphy’s contradictory comments…
