Fans from a variety of clubs have been left outraged after reading a report involving Aston Villa maestro Jack Grealish.
The Sun have revealed that Grealish and Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho could miss out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad, due to Jesse Lingard’s form.
If that is true, it is utterly absurd.
Of course, Lingard has been great since moving to West Ham, scoring five goals in seven games for the Irons.
However, you cannot reward a purple patch and ignore two players who have been doing it consistently all season, especially Grealish.
The 25-year-old hasn’t just been one of the best players in England this season, but arguably one of the most impressive around Europe.

Grealish has netted seven goals while recording 12 assists in 23 appearances this season, which is simply brilliant.
If he is left out of Southgate’s squad, there will be national outrage and rightly so.
What other nation would leave out a player as good as Grealish?

It simply cannot happen.
Rewarding Lingard with a place in the squad for a small run of form, and ignoring the Villa captain’s consistency, would be a criminal act from Southgate.
Let’s see what fans have been saying about The Sun’s revelation…
