Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter in frustration after BILD claimed that VfB Stuttgart have agreed a deal to loan Konstantinos Mavropanos again.
What’s the story?
Well, the 23-year-old spent the 2020/21 season on loan at VfB Stuttgart, and the Bundesliga outfit clearly enjoyed having him.
Mavropanos will now spend the 2021/22 campaign at VfB Stuttgart as well, although he may never come back to Arsenal.
Why? Well, Edu has negotiated a deal which allows VfB Stuttgart to buy the 2-cap Greece international for just €7 million (£6 million).
From our point of view, that is absurdly low.
Mavropanos is an exciting young prospect, who showed glimpses of his talent in north London when he was fortunate enough to be injury-free.
Arsenal fans were even buzzing over his potential a couple of weeks ago, after the defender stopped Erling Braut Håland from scoring.
What is Edu doing?

Is there any need for VfB Stuttgart to hold a £6 million option to buy?
Arsenal really aren’t gaining much from this deal.
Now, if Mavropanos has an incredible season in the Bundesliga, that fixed price is unable to change.
The man who cost Arsene Wenger £1.8 million could turn himself into a £30 million player over the course of next season.
However, that will be irrelevant for Arsenal, as they have agreed to hand him over for £6 million – as long as VfB Stuttgart actually want him.

It’s a win-win for the German side, and not a great deal for the Gunners.
You can see why the Arsenal fans on Twitter are furious.
