‘Ridiculous’: Some Arsenal fans annoyed by what they are hearing from Sky about teen talent

Arsenal fans have hit back at Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher for leaving out Bukayo Saka for their projected Euro squads.

The 19-year-old has been a shining light in what has been a pretty dismal, dull and lacklustre season from Arsenal.

Even though Arsenal have gone through their worst period in decades, their rising academy star has stood tall and earned an England call.

But when Neville and Carragher were picking their squad for the Euros in the summer, they selected the likes of Mason Greenwood but left out Saka.

Both pundits told Sky Sports that they ‘love’ Saka but because he doesn’t have a nailed down position they haven’t picked him, with Neville preferring Greenwood because of his finishing ability.

This left a number of Arsenal fans annoyed because they feel he should be with the final party that is picked by Gareth Southgate.

One thing Saka has in his favour is that he is versatile, he can operate out on the right, the left, through the middle and as a left-back.

Southgate has selected him before and he wasn’t recently picked because of an injury, so that shows that he is still in England’s plans.
