Don Hutchinson has been speaking to Mark Pougatch on The Weekend Review, and Arsenal were the topic of conversation.
After recent wins away to Wolves and Aston Villa, the likes of Ruben Neves and Ashley Young have aimed bizarre complaints at the Gunners.
What’s the story?
Well, there must be something in the Midlands water, as Neves and Young have embarrassed themselves of late.
After Arsenal recorded a 1-0 win at Molineux on February 10th, Neves accused Arsenal of celebrating like they’d won the Premier League.
Then, after Saturday’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa, Young also criticised the north Londoners for over-celebrating.
Now, Hutchinson has fired back at the duo, saying: “Jealousy! Arsenal were down to ten men, they grafted a 1-0 win, I’d be straight over to my away fans giving it beans. So would Ashley Young by the way, and so would Neves. I don’t know why they’re whinging, it’s ridiculous.”
We couldn’t agree more.
This current trend of criticising others for celebrating is bizarre, and it needs to end.
Arsenal must continue to silence Neves and Young

As Hutchinson says, Neves and Young are hypocrites, as they also would’ve been jumping up and down in front of their fans had they been on the winning team.
In our view, this has to stop. Even if it is just reactionary petulance from the pair of them, it sets a bad example for youngsters.
If more and more Premier League players keep adding to this dreadful criticism, then celebrating may eventually end up dying out.

Kids growing up will not want to be mocked for over-celebrating, so it’s possible that they end up not celebrating at all.
If that happened, it would be truly tragic – players such as Neves and Young need to learn how to deal with defeats like adults, rather than whiny, pathetic infants.
